To Engage in Battle – Video Clip No. 1
Happy New Year! To ring in the new year, here is a short but feisty exchange from the sadly defunct Let’s Wrestle video To Engage in Battle.
Kyle wraps up his opponent Jeff Lander in a full nelson / bodyscissor combo. Jeff is not impressed, and though Kyle tries to keep the hold on tight, Jeff is stronger and breaks out.
As you might have expected from the post title, I will probably post some more clips from this match in the future.

A Christmas classic full nelson
Here’s a blast from the past for the Christmas holiday! The fight between Iceman and Zman from Thunders Arena’s Christmas Chaos video from 2007.
While Angel is knocked out in the corner dressed up like a Christmas tree, Iceman gets to work on Zman, wrapping up the musclehunk in a full nelson/bodyscissor combo hold. Iceman is taking a risk with the scissor, especially in this configuration where Zman could apply a leg lock and put Iceman in a lot of pain. Maybe Iceman figured Zman was too much of a pretty boy to know how to escape… in this case, he was right, Zman missed the opportunity.

Evan vs. Shawn: the final submission
Evan vs. Shawn: the final submission.
Shawn lands the deadly choke that is the beginning of the end. Evan, though exhausted at the end of a long match, is pumped, and his veins pop while he struggles with every last bit of strength he has to defeat the choke.
“Just let me get this in real quick,” says Shawn as he manages to get both legs wrapped around Evan’s lower torso, giving him an extra measure of control over Evan’s movements. But not content with mere control, to get the win Shawn needs to inflict damage and pain. After stabilizing his position, Shawn extends his legs straight to maximize their crushing power, turning Evan’s abs to silly putty while Shawn concentrates again on laying in on the choke.
Evan is wrapped up tight with nowhere to go, the life being squeezed out of him as an anaconda does to its prey. After a long struggle, not wanting to give the final submission that will end the match, Evan finally taps hard on Shawn’s rock solid thigh clenched tight against his torso, signaling his defeat.

The artist depicts a pro wrestling headscissor in the ring — the most humiliating variety of headscissor, with the weakling’s face shoved in the alpha’s crotch — complete with an audience and trash talk. After more than one hour of nonstop wrestling, Jerry Owens is spent. Eric Shuler seizes his advantage, trapping Jerry in a tight full nelson and bodyscissor combo hold. Eric crosses his ankles and straightens his legs upward toward the sky to maximize the pressure and prevent Jerry from landing an ankle lock.
